The ⭐JAX Country Standard was created to help country dancers and country music fans know which events truly deliver the experience they are looking for.
We work closely with our venue partners to make sure each featured location meets a higher standard for country nights — from the dance floor and sound quality to the lessons, atmosphere, music, and overall guest experience.
Events marked with the JAX Country Standard ⭐ star are locations that have earned our recommendation. To receive the star, each venue must meet the standards listed below.
Wood Dance Floors
A true country dance night starts with the right dance floor. JAX Country Standard venues provide wood dance floors, giving dancers a smoother, safer, and more enjoyable experience.

Country dancing is active, energetic, and sometimes nonstop. That’s why JAX Country Standard venues make comfort a priority by providing fans or airflow on the dance floor. This desert gets HOT even with the A/C on. Keeping dancers cool helps enjoy the night without feeling overheated or uncomfortable.

One of the things that sets a JAX Country Standard event apart is the use of video screens to help dancers stay informed and engaged. Screens show the next dance, music videos, event information, or visual support that helps keep the night flowing. Country dancing should be easy to enjoy without extra cost at the door. JAX Country Standard events are always free to attend, with no cover charge. Free dance lessons are a key part of the JAX Country Standard. We want new dancers to have a comfortable way to get started and regular dancers to keep growing.
